About
Welcome to Lantern Vietnamese Cafe, a delightful haven nestled at 8443 Haven Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. This charming café is your go-to destination for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, offering a vibrant array of soups, sandwiches, and appetizers that tickle the taste buds and satisfy the soul.
Among the standout features of Lantern Vietnamese Cafe is their Banh Mi, a traditional Vietnamese sandwich that boasts layers of flavors and textures. Picture a Phorench Dip Banh Mi filled with juicy sliced brisket, crisp cucumber, fiery jalapeños, aromatic cilantro, and a mix of pickled radish and carrots—all lovingly slathered with a house spicy mayo and soy glaze on a perfectly crusty French baguette. And what sets it apart? This delightful sandwich comes with a bowl of savory beef broth for dipping, elevating the experience to new heights.
What is equally notable are the appetizers that make for perfect starters. The Spring Rolls, whether filled with pork or fried tofu, are wrapped in fresh rice paper, showcasing ingredients like vermicelli noodles, bean sprouts, and lettuce, complemented by a creamy peanut sauce. The attention to detail here, such as toasting sesame and peanuts for added texture, speaks volumes about the dedication to quality.
For those craving a hearty meal, the Garlic Fried Rice options are a must-try. Served with lemon grass chicken or pork belly, each dish is fragrant with garlic and thoughtfully garnished, making for a comforting and satisfying experience.

“ I went to Haven City and tried the Lantern Vietnamese Restaurant. They had a few vegan options that looked good on the menu and were really tasty when I tried them. I recommend the Vegan Pho and their fried rice with tofu. My order got mixed with another order for the rice tofu dish but it was corrected quickly. Their use of spicy is at a good level where you can add more if needed. The heat level for the soup was lower than other pho dishes that Ive tried but it was good for me in the sense that I didnt need anything in the bowl fully cooked since it was vegan. The veggies and tofu were hot enough and I could enjoy the meal faster rather than waiting for it to cool off. They also have traditional meat dishes for others in your group. Enjoy. ”
“ Wow! This new place was so great!! The owner was very friendly and the food was delicious. We tried the pho, spring rolls, bahn mi, Thai tea, matcha tea, and Vietnamese iced coffee. The Pho brooth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The Spring roll peanut sauce was delicious and perfect with the rolls. My wife tried Vietnamese coffee for the first time and she was very pleasantly surprised by how much she liked it. I already knew that I would enjoy it and it was great. The matcha is what it should be, and the Thai tea was yummy as well. So many good things to choose from... Well definitely be back!! ”
“ I had the lemongrass pork banh mi. I was SUREPRISED and IMPRESSED by the quality of the sandwich. The baguette was memorable with its balance of crunchy and airyness. The minced lemongrass reminded me of a home cooked meal. I shared the mango sticky rice and enjoyed the subtle hints of care, such as toasting the sesame and chopped peanuts before adding it as topping. Again, the best banh mi Ive had in the IE. It was worth taking a moment to write a review to give them a shout out. ”
“ We had the Vegan Pho spring rolls and egg rolls, Strawberry Macha, coffee latte and passion fruit yogurt drinks. Honestly, we never had Pho and my dad is super picky. He loved the vegan pho soup. The noodles are light not heavy and the broth was extremely flavorful. Fresh veggies on the side to add to taste. The spring rolls are fresh but was not a fan of the peanut sauce. Eggrolls are small and thin but they had nice crunch. It is a little on the expensive since the portions are a little smaller but quality ingredients. Highly recommend the drinks. Overall will eat here again ”
“ Amazing restaurant in the corner of Haven City food court! The grilled lemongrass chicken bahn mi was excellent! The roll was crunchy, chicken was tender, and the mayo with the pickled veggies was just sweet and tangy! Spring rolls were delicious as well! Will come back again very soon! ”
